Built by Arena Motorsport for the Honda Racing factory team and campaigned in the 2003 British Touring Car Championship.

For 2004, the car was sold to Computeach Racing with Halfords (Team Dynamics), becoming one of the original Halfords-backed Honda Civic Type R BTCC cars driven during the team’s first season with the famous orange-and-black livery.

Following its BTCC career, the chassis was stripped with many of its race components being transferred into the Honda Integra Type R programme that would go on to become one of the most successful touring car projects of the era.

The chassis was later acquired by Redbrick Racing and continued its competitive life in:

* 2010 UK Time Attack Championship
* 2011 Honda VTEC Challenge
* 2011 UK Time Attack Championship

Drivers associated with the car during this period included Charlie Butler-Henderson, Mark Chese and Steven Peel.

In 2012, the car was acquired by a collector and subsequently exported to Asia, spending time in both Singapore and Japan. After more than a decade largely out of public view, the car is now emerging from storage once again in 2026.
